Why wellness is important to me: Falling into the trap of delaying wellness is too easy, particularly in medical school. I can’t count the number of times I’ve caught myself thinking “Once [insert class/test/application] is done, then I’ll be able to [insert hobby/basic self-care]”. But no matter how busy we get, life doesn’t pause, and neither should we when it comes to prioritizing wellness. When I do so, I find that I have more energy to engage with myself, be present with others, and connect with my community.

Why I'm on the committee: Since starting at Pritzker, I’ve been inspired every day by my incredible classmates and our wholesome community. I can’t imagine this journey without them, and I want to make sure that we are all equipped to be our achieve our well-being goals. Wellness comes in many varieties and looks different for each person. I hope that through my position on the Wellness Committee, I can represent my peers’ voices and facilitate support for our needs.

Fun Fact: I am the proud owner of a stand mixer and love asking people what their favorite kind of dessert is :)

Meet the rest of the Pritzker Wellness Committee!
