Summer Research Program

The Summer Research Program is an eleven week medical research opportunity available to first year medical students. Students develop a well-defined project and work with faculty mentors throughout the summer to conduct research. In addition to their research, students are required to attend weekly cluster meetings and seminars. At the end of the eleven weeks, participants present their research at the Summer Research Forum. Students are judged at the end of the program and are eligible to receive cash prizes.

Faculty can add, remove, and/or edit their projects through the Scholarly Opportunities Catalog. Deadline to submit for the 2025 Summer Research Program is November 30, 2024.

Medical Students
The Pritzker Scholarly Opportunities Online Catalog showcases faculty projects and is used by Pritzker students to identify projects and mentors for the Summer Research Program and ongoing mentored research through Scholarship & Discovery. By having the project listings available on an online platform, you are able to submit new projects any time throughout the year.

Residents & Fellows
In Pritzker Scholarly Opportunities Online Catalog, faculty can flag a project that is also available to residents and fellows, who are invited to browse the catalog.
